Besides, as Shakespeare so quaintly put it: "What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other would smell as sweet...."

Growing up in Africa, my heart is always drawn to beautiful animals, the leopard being one of my favorite of the "big cats" - its rare, elusive, with a fur marked with rosettes. The beauty of the wild - absolutely gorgeous!

Needless to say, when I started looking for an out-of-the-box, "va-va-voom" accessory to update one of my DeliciousShoes fashionista's London style, I was literally drawn to these Steve Madden Carnaby-L Leopard booties - gorgeous! As I normally do, I sent Ms P a picture, and her response: "Seriously?????? I am not convinced!!!!!" I knew then I would have to seriously convince her! So, off to London with a pair of Size 7 Carnaby-L's in Leopard. The plan: to style a series of looks, each with the Carnaby-L, that would work perfect for Ms P's London lifestyle - from work to play.

Dream Big, Pay Less

It's still summer time, and as much as I love the sun, the ocean, blue skies and the warm days, there is no denying that Autumn/Fall is around the corner. So, being a fashionista, I must prepare fast and furiously. There's much to love about the Autumn/Fall 2011 season, most of all bright colors - LOVE! However, not everything that is on my "FAV" list is actually affordable (for moi, at least). So, I went on my Dream Big, Pay Less mission this week, and here's some of my favorite finds. I am now a happy girl, ready for the upcoming season, with just a few pieces and lots of color! Mixed with the items I already own (and there's plenty of those), I think I am fashionably falling for Fall!

1. The Coat - First Lady Michelle Obama definitely took J Crew to the runway. A label not generally known outside of the U.S., is now a part of NY fashion week. The style was perfect, the price not so much. Dream big at $350, pay less at $172 - the ASOS alternative. I believe we have a winner! Take it from day to night with the Tilly&Pinch Astrid in Jade ($105).

2. See by Chloe Carmen ($495) vs YSL Muse Too ($1250) - both are definitely splurge pieces. My eyes are definitely on the YSL but with a price tag of $1250 there's a lot more eye-ing to be done. Carmen may just get the better of me!

3. The knit/sweater jacket is going to be huge this Autumn/Fall. Off the runway, the See by Chloe is gorgeous but at $495 vs $69 for the Tinley Road knit cardigan (which is equally fab) - I just put $426 towards the Carmen!

Look through your closet before you buy! If yours is anything like mine, there are plenty pieces you will find that will fit right in to what's hip and in this next season! Next week - some Deliciousshoes to go with the Autumn/Fall upgrade!

So when I first learnt about the Missoni for Target collection, I was over the moon. From NYC to Cheyenne - A city girl in search of her inner cowgirl!

Greetings from Cheyenne, Wyoming! This is your guest blogger, Laura, and I'm on a road trip far away from the bright lights and big city - and its fabulous shopping. But to my delight, here in cowgirl country, there's no shortage of shoes to obsess over...Or boots, to be accurate.

It all started in The Outlaw, a popular local bar where we stopped in for a drink on our first night in Cheyenne. There was so much to take in: professional rodeo cowboys in their ten-gallon hats, line dancing, a country band playing...but all of that fled my mind when our waitress came over to take our drink order.

She was wearing the most fabulous black cowboy boots, paired with a miniskirt.

And suddenly it was as they were everywhere.

Brown, black, tan...square toe, pointed toe...mid-calf to just below the knee...pink stitching, blue stitching...

Sure, the look's been done, and cowboy boots come in and out of fashion. But in Wyoming, the authenticity was just so appealing. In fact, one of my favorite pairs was sported by a the girlfriend of a rodeo cowboy -- herself a calf roper.

You can see what's coming next, of course. I had to have cow(girl) boots. Had to get a pair right there in Cheyenne.

An investment, I thought: authentic Western boots purchased in Wyoming. I'd have them the rest of my life, each year getting softer and more broken in.

New obsession firmly in mind, I did some investigating and soon found the perfect boot-shopping destination: The Wrangler, a giant three-story store right in the heart of downtown Cheyenne's train depot square since 1943.

So on July 4, fittingly timed to America's birthday, I dragged my male travel partner into The Wrangler [and to his credit, he uttered not a word of complaint].

And there in the back was cowboy boot heaven: rows and rows of boots, all organized by size. Every stitching and toe type and heel and height and color you can imagine. Brands like Justin, Ariat, Lucchese, Durango, Tony Lama. The real deal.

A wonderful salesperson came over to steer me through the maze of leather. After explaining that I'd fallen in love with a pair I saw at The Outlaw, she brought over a two-tone pair, black on brown. But it didn't matter - my eyes were on the salesperson's own pair. Wonderfully broken in, aged brown leather, square toe and low heel. They were perfect, and I told her so.

She promptly took them off and offered them to me to try on - of course not to purchase, but to see the difference in a broken-in pair.

They were a dream. Comfy, soft, sturdy, solid, heavy, gorgeous, authentic...and of course, hers.

I returned them to her, wistfully. The perfect cowgirl boots.

She brought me a few more to try on, but none quite fit the bill.

In the end, I never did buy a pair. I gave the boots' purchase the 24-hour rule, and the next day, although I still wanted boots, I wanted broken-in, soft, authentic ones, not the stiff, shiny, squeaky-new pair.

My cowgirl phase came and went. But if you're in Wyoming, don't miss the Wrangler - and the glorious footwear to be found on the local populace.

4. The path down Destination Fifth Avenue may lead to the Hortense as the hottest YSL wedge for the A/W 2010 season, but veer off track and hedge your wedge on Olivia ($45+) or Annton ($90+)

Grunge Goes Glamorous

Welcome Guest Blogger Monica! The gal that took the grunge and turned it to glamour! I loved this story - Thank you Moni for a great post and most off all for trusting your heels in Lil'Shoelina! One day soon we will finally witness Moni in a pair of 5 inch platforms!

Moni's story....(and a toast to all you deliciously fabulous followers, from the Burj in Dubai)

This is the story of one young(-ish) lawyer's journey ... and how with the help of her very dear friend and shoe mentor, LilShoelina, she was able to eventually reach the dizzying heights of YSL Tribute fabulousness!!

My Mother is 5'8" and a busy doctor used to running around hospital delivery rooms at all hours of the day and night. Heels have never really played a part in her life so for me, as a child, there were no moments of slipping my feet into Mummy's heels ... I grew up prioritising comfort over style. Fast forward to my early 20s and grunge was in so my college years were the Doc Marten years (though I note with entertainment that they are "in" again now!). Heels were only dutifully trotted out for my sorority formals (and by the end of the evening I would be dancing without them).

So I graduated law school and had to buy a couple of heels to wear with my interview suits. They were functional (and dull). I still had not learned how much fun couture shoe fashion could be ...!

My first foray into high end shoes was a love of Prada. I was now living in London and had become good friends with Lil'Shoelina (who was as fabulous then as she is now!) Anyway, back to these shoes - they were a lovely burgundy patent mary-jane. I gasped at the cost but I was in love. And once I had accepted this was how much you pay for a high-end shoe and I realised what a difference a well-made shoe can be, it was a slippery slope.

There were some mishaps along the way - that pair of on sale 4 inch Gina mules I can't walk in (coming to ebay soon!) - but with the help of my dear bestie Lil'Shoelina, I have now found my shoe style. (And one I can walk in!)

For me, it is all about the platform (and a few side-lines in the wedge). The height elongates my legs but the platform gives me the comfort that I need. So I rock the Christian Louboutin simple pump platform 120s (and thanks to Lil'Shoelina, I just acquired my newest peacock blue pair) and the YSL Tribute sandal in the lower heel. They aren't cheap but I know they are an investment that will return value per use over time. And they look fabulous too!!

So to all you shoe-lovers out there who have never had the trials and tribulations of learning to love heels - great for you and I am envious! But for the rest of us mere mortals who are more vertically-challenged, platforms are the way to go... And a special thank you to my BFF Lil'Shoelina for helping me on that journey with her suggestions, sourcing, and encouragement to think outside the box!! xx

Destination Fifth Avenue

I am currently in NYC! I love NYC on a holiday weekend, when most people have left for the Hamptons, Fire Island or some place upstate. The city has an air of zen - yes! Unbelievable but true - 'tis New York City on July 4th weekend.

I took advantage of the hypnogogic atmosphere by taking a stroll down Fifth Avenue and admiring the architecture and extravagance this famous street delivers. The "fabulocity" of the Big Apple. There's no fun without some circumnavigation! Mine was at 57th street - off I went down my fashionista way to Yves Saint Laurent. My mission - to spend some quality time indulging in shoe education with Everest, who was recently introduced to me by one of my "besties" from London - Monica (Thanks Moni!). I was in heaven - you already know my love for anything "tribute." Anytime you pay Yves Saint Laurent on 57th street a visit and are in search for an honest opinion and "out of the box" ideas that are going to adorn your inner fashionista - ask for the stylishly fabulous Everest.

As for Monica - Everest is a big fan! Could it be because she has paid tribute to YSL with her recently acquired passion and appreciation for platform heels? From Everest and Lil'Shoelina - You rock them girl!

The hottest YSL shoe for A/W season?

Without doubt the Hortense lace up wedges - available in black and brown. Take a look for yourselves..... hot off the heel! Pair them with stockings in the winter...and worry not, before the chill gets to your tootsies (coz we don't want to think about the winter), flaunt them with your perfect pedicure! I walked these wedges today.. and my feet were smiling (wedge and all)!!!

Enjoy the celebrations and delicious barbecue. Flirtatious flats or comfy & cute - a girl can have it all, just don't forget the sunscreen!

DeliciousShoes got a lil' makeover, just in time to celebrate all the students graduating and the Lakers NBA finals win (Go Lake(er) Show). Congratulations to you all. Education is vital. It will give you the tools to maneuver through life.

Two of our nieces recently graduated and we are so very proud of them. RH graduated in the top five from high school and is off to UPenn (go girl!); TH graduated from kindergarden (also top of her class). I love the fact that you have graduation at kindergarden. So cute!

To kick start my guest blogger series, I decided to interview RH and TH about shoes. RH has a passion for handbags - a serious passion! However in recent years her inner fashionista has developed an appreciation for shoes. As for TH - she definitely is a "shoelina" in the making - yes, at age (nearly) 6!

RH's Interview - from handbags to shoes:

DS: What is your favorite pair of shoes and why?

RH: My favorite pair of shoes would have to be my graduation heels...They were black silk with a black rose on top. They were open toed and about three inches high. I love them because they were perfect enough to make me stand out and accented my pedicure very nicely.

DS: As you start thinking about college what 3 to 5 pairs of shoes do you think are a must?

RH: Well I have to have cute snow boots since Pennsylvania can get a pretty good amount of snow. I also have to have my classic wedges for the warmer days and I can't forget my black pumps because of the many

parties my roomie and I will attend.
DS: Where do you normally buy your shoes and how much do you pay for them on average?

RH: Well I look for cute, stylish, but still comfortable. If the shoe is cute enough price doesn't matter. I don't like to break the bank so finding a deal is always good. I would have to say two of my favorite stores are Nine West and DSW!

DS: Please tell me how many pairs of shoes you have in your closet right now. What is the ratio of shoes to handbags?

RH: I honestly don't know how many pair of shoes I have. I have racks of shoes and cases of purses. I have gotten more into shoes lately because I have been watching and learning from my wonderful Aunt V and so my ratio of shoes to handbags may be about 1:1 now.

DS: Color or black - what is your go to pair?

RH: Color or black, that is a tough one. Colors are great for the hot summer days in Mississippi, but I have to say I LOVE the classic black pump or wedge that draws attention without stealing it from the girl wearing them.

DS: Has your boyfriend ever questioned your choice of footwear? if so, why?

RH: No, not really that is until I start to complain about them hurting... Like I said before, cute and stylish comes before comfortable. :)

DS: In a sentence, please describe what you get from reading the posts on DeliciousShoes.

RH: I get the low down on the latest shoes from the shoe fashionista herself, she tells me what is in, what to look for, and just what to buy.

DS: Socks and sandals is a new trend - what do you think - trend or tacky and why?

RH: EEEEWWWW no no no definitely tacky! I'm sorry but socks and sandals together, are never going to grace my feet. I just cannot get with it. I think that Hollywood will soon come to its senses if Hollywood is the one that started it again.

DS: Whose shoe closet would you like to own?

RH: Ok this would have to be the easiest question ever, because the obvious answer is...Lil' Shoelina. Lil' Shoelina has the best shoe closet ever, and she knows just what outfits to put with them.

TH's Interview (responses are word for word from my lil' (soon to be 6) fashionista):

DS: What is your favorite pair of shoes and why?

TH: My favorite pair of shoes is my Hannah Montana high heels. They are silver with the toe out and glittery sparkles. They are my favorite because I am a big fan of Hannah Montana and I look hot in them.

DS: Describe your perfect pair of shoes?

TH: My perfect pair of shoes would be glittery pink with princess insoles, with a cute little heel, toes out, and a strap in the back.

DS: Whose shoe closet would you like to own?

TH: I would love to own my Aunt V's Shoe Closet, because it's huge and her shoes are cute, sassy, and high.

DS: Wedges or high heels?

TH: Definitely high heels.

DS: If Mommy had to choose a pair of shoes for you, what would she buy?

TH: She would buy flip flops because I love how they make noise and they are perfect for the hot summer sun.

MUM & I - MOMMY & ME

It is difficult to universally define the role of a mother, but one thing is for sure, mothers day or not, a mother is one of the most important person in this world. Whether you realize it, appreciate it or recognize it, without her you would not be here. Respect!

My mum and my mommy (a.k.a. my mother-in-law) are two of the most incredible women I know. How fortunate I am to have them in my life. I count my blessings each day (believe me!).

Many of my friends are mothers or soon to become mothers, so in recent years I have spent some time shopping for "mommy & me" gifts. It's during these escapades that I have discovered the cutest matches - jeans, dresses and of course deliciously fabulous shoes. With summer approaching, I thought it felicitous to share with you some of my favorite (matching) mommy & me fashion sandals - from Jack Rogers to flirtatious flats, there is an option and style "comme il faut" for mum and tot.

Many designers and stores are complementing looks for adults and children (that is not to say all are appropriate!). You and your lil' one can be cute, stylish and fabulous at the same time - but don't forget the cardinal rule - trashy belongs in the garbage (bin it)!!

INCREDIBLE INDIA

I recently returned from a breathtaking trip to India. A country that is truly incredible. Words cannot describe the allure of the Taj Mahal. I was in awe.

A striking feature of the Indian culture is the color. Whether it be traditional saris or fashion forward outfits from high end malls in Mumbai, the focus is on bright colors complemented with elements of a unique tradition.

I was particularly fascinated by the traditional shoes - the mojaris, juttis, and the Indian equivalent of the flip flop - the kolhapuri chappals (so much classier!).

(these are mens shoes. LOVE THEM!)

I was fortunate enough to experience the diversity of this incredible country - from the Tigers of Ranthambore to the fashion and flare of Jaipur and Mumbai (and all thanks to the distinguished hospitality of the Oberoi Hotels).

If there is one grandeur trip you decide to do, and want to experience the naturally wild, the uniqueness of an ancient tradition and the warmth and love of many cultures that span one country, I highly recommend India. And add to that fashion and jewelry - you cannot but be in awe.

It was a deliciously fabulous trip and I cannot wait to go back!

The wait is finally over! The Missoni/Converse collaboration will be in select stores this month! A perfect match for the summer, these Chuck Taylors are sure to make headlines. They cover many fields - from Superbowl to Basketball, and even the lawns of the White House! Current destination - the shores of South Beach, Miami! The Glam Squad

It's not always all about shoes!...This week I want to share with you my wedding glam, having recently celebrated my first wedding anniversary. It's been one of the most amazing years of my life and I am truly blessed with a wonderful husband.

As I reminisce about the fabulous week we had celebrating with close friends and family at Half Moon in Jamaica, I thought I would share some of my wedding glamor with you. Every bride needs a glam squad (keep those talented friends close ladies!!) and an extensive wardrobe (FTR, mine was created around the 18 pairs of delicious shoes I knew I wanted to wear!) - c'mon - it's that one time that you can go OTT and live the life of a modern day princess (or celebrity). Just leave the 'Zilla' (aka Bridezilla) in you at home - it's so not attractive!

Putting together my very own glam squad was surprisingly effortless, as unconsciously I had been preparing for a long time. Research, Knowledge & Contacts are powerful tools!

1. The Romance Team - There is no doubt that Andrea Smith is the best wedding planner on the Island! Together with Erica Morrison and Diandra Shand, the three Jamaican beauties took care of every detail for us and our guests who came from all corners of the world! We even got a full page feature in the Sunday Gleaner!

2. Bespoke Invitations - Vaishali Shah at Ananya created our bespoke wedding stationery and our own monogram which we used as our wedding cake topper (created by Sari at Toppers with Glitz). The wedding invitations were definitely "sui generis" and captured our multi-cultural backgrounds.

3. The Stylist - From the day we boarded the flight to Jamaica to the time we got back home, my stylist, Kalyn Johnson of Style by Kalyn Johnson had each outfit (coutured & cultured & paired with a combination of vintage jewelry and designs by Tejani) presented in a personalized "guild the lilly" style book. We got together a few months before the wedding to allow plenty of time for dazzling up the wedding wardrobe. The look - Eva Mendes Goes To Bollywood. Being the Lil'Shoelina that I am, deliciously fabulous shoes were key to my wedding wardrobe - (And FTR, I took 18 pairs, wore 18 and came back with 12 as my gyalfriends snagged a few pairs! I know where you live gyals!)

4. Locks, Curls & Eyelashes - Just like the shoes you wear, the style of your hair and your make cup can make or break your look. It's not time for experimenting - you should have done that the 3 months before your big day. There was no question that the one expense I had budgeted for at the outset was to have a hairstylist from Ion Studio NYC with me for the pre- and post wedding events. It was worth it. Pasquale & Andrea totally rocked! I was also fortunate enough to have had one on one make-up lessons from Taymor - ready & set!

5. Shape Up - I love exercising and it has always been a part of my life. Getting into "wedding shape" was exciting (and sometimes challenging). Thanks to my boyz - Orion (best trainer in NYC) and James from Physique57 - I was in great shape within weeks. (TIP: Make being healthy a priority all the time - not just the six weeks prior to your wedding!)

What a fabulicious glam squad. Just want to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU! The memories live on in the thousands of pictures by Michael & Olive Saab of Saab Weddings.

FAB FAVE FIVE

I am captivated by my newly organized shoe closet, which was the inspiration for this new post. A section of the shoe closet is dedicated to my current FAB FAVE FIVE - my favorite "go to" shoes! As the season and fashion trends change, so do my FFFs. FFFs do not have to be the essentials or the classics, nor do they have to be constant, consistent or cost effective - they just have to tickle your fancy right now!

Here are my current FFFs:

Superga 2740 Classic (also known at the "the shoe of Italy") - These classics are multi-functional and multi-occasional. Great for traveling (with a pair of distressed bootcut jeans), for hot summer days (with shorts, a short skirt or a summer dress), or for a leisurely walk in the park.
"Zoey" wedge by Nine West - I have these in black and gray suede, and they are a staple for every trip as they are so versatile and transition well from day to night.
Christian Louboutin Glitter slingback - DELICIOUSLY GLITZY - do I need to say more? They razzle the skinny jeans, and dazzle any outfit. Whatever the occasion, these CL's draw much attention.
"Chloe" by Gina - a great court shoe for work or play, day or night. Effortlessly releases the fashionista in you and updates even the classic LBD.
"Leanna" by Chelsea Crew - in camel brown and gray. OMG! Work with leggings, skirts, jeans or under a pair of wide-leg pants.

New Year, New Resolution

Happy New Year my shoe lovers. Hope 2010 is a wonderful year for you, with new dreams, exciting adventures, love, fortune, happiness and delicious shoes!

Many of us will spend time thinking about the past year, and considering our plans and resolutions for the new decade. Consider this a time for reflection, cleansing and donation.

For me, 2010 is going to start with organizing and giving, and I am happy to report that I have already started by sorting out my shoe closet with the goal of donating 5 pairs of gently used shoes to a shoe charity.

I have posted URLs for a few shoe charities on www.deliciousshoes.blogspot.com - please consider these.

Here are my tips for cleaning the closet:

Leave emotional attachment at the door!
Divide your shoe into categories, for example (a) always wear, (b) favorite special occasion shoes, (c) not worn and still in the box, (d) "if I am honest, I have to admit that I will never wear these again", and (e) someone could use these more than me.
Organize categories (a) and (b) by color, style and heel height, and place them back into your closet.
Place the category (e) shoes in a box, and select the charity to which you will donate them. (Alternatively, you may consider selling these shoes, and donating a portion of the proceeds to the charity of your choice.)
For categories (c) and (d), you may need a little help from a friend to determine whether these shoes are "for keeps" or for the "giveaway heaps" (one who knows you well, and will give you an honest opinion).
Now make a list of the essential shoes that you need, and tick the style and color that you already have in your closet. By the process of elimination, you will determine what you need to buy. Keep this list with you - in your iPhone, BB or notebook. The next time you go shopping, remember to refer to your essential list. This will keep you from straying (that is if you want to keep from straying!!!!).

Having completed my "shoe cleanse", I feel great. My shoe closet is unbelievably organized. I feel revived and ready to embark on a 2010 shoe adventure. There are some fabulously delicious styles coming our way. The best part is that I have achieved one new resolution already, and it is only the first day of the year.

BOOTILICIOUS BOOTS

It’s been a while since the last post! For the past few weeks, I have been enjoying being a “Londoner” again – Hyde Park, afternoon tea at Claridges (a must for the first timer), strolls down Fitzjohn’s Avenue to St. John’s Wood, and of course a visit to Nandos.

As you might have guessed, the itinerary for my European adventure was largely dictated by the events of London Fashion Week! Over the next few weeks, I will share with you some of my favorite London finds.

Lets start with Boots, Boots, Boots!

This season is all about pushing the envelope and taking risks. One of the many things I love about London is that Londoners are fearless when it comes to fashion; they don’t just follow the fads. Consequently, the streets of London are abundant with “sui generis” style.

From Camden Town to Chelsea, Top Shop to Harrods, this season’s boots are wagging tongues.

Comfy & Cute...A girl can have it all!

In the land of aching feet, the Flat is clearly Queen.

Once considered the ugly step-sister of the more popular "Cinderella" stiletto, the Flat has recently made an impressive comeback. Fabulous fashionistas have demanded both comfort AND style, and artisans in Milan, Paris, London and New York have responded with offerings that are both foot-friendly and fashion-forward. So Ladies, let the Flat match your style - be it sporty, casual, glitzy or even "uber" sexy!

Today, every great closet has at least one pair stylish, comfortable, Fabulous Flats! These need not be either flip flops or the new, trendy cellulite busters (and I thought the MBTs were unattractive!!!). Broaden your horizons. There is much in the footwear world that is both Comfy & Cute.

Before I share some of my faves, let’s review the ground rules for wearing Flats:

Don't Do Dumpy! - Good posture is critical. You're going to look shorter in Flats, so stand tall. Shoulders back, chest out, Ladies!
Color & Style are Key - When your shoes are flat; their color and style shouldn't be!
Work it! - Sexy is not the private realm of the stiletto. If you FEEL sexy in your Flats, you will BE sexy in your Flats!
Open Toe? - A pedicure is a MUST!
Flip Flop, Fit Flop - Don't believe the hype! Flip flops are not as versatile as we've been led to believe.

Got it? Great.

Sugar and spice and everything nice..Bridal Shoes

Here comes the bride, all dressed in white...

He finally proposed (yes, slipping random pictures of engagement rings into his briefcase worked!), you have the "diamond" you always dreamed of (and I am referring of course to your fiancé and not to the rock that adorns your ring finger) and you are now into WPM (wedding planing mode). CONGRATULATIONS!

If you are like me your bridal pair(s) (ummm, I did say pairs) will feature high on your list of priorities - and so they should! Imagine for a minute, walking down the aisle in your dream dress; your Vera Wang, Carolina Herrera or Carlos Miele, (Ladies, you know you have walked this walk in your fantasies a million times). Make sure that your shoes offer the perfect complement (and get lots of compliments!) on your big day!

Let your bridal shoes tell a story. There is definitely more to contemplate than the traditional white or ivory, satin or silk, classic Manolo or Stuart Weitzman. So, think outside the box. Nothing need be as it seems! I say - add a dash of color. A little sugar and spice will make everything nice.

Hot Tip: Platform peeptoe heels will elongate your legs and transform you into a "sexy lexy" - but ask one of your bridesmaids to carry a comfy pair of flats for you (and they need not be flip flops!!!!).
The Bail Out: Budget tight? Don't take a second mortgage to finance your bridal shoes! Nine West, Endless.com, Bluefly, and Piperlime (to name a few) have great affordable alternatives.

Finally, this is YOUR big day Cinderella. Be sure the shoe fits. Create, don't imitate, and you, like your delicious bridal shoes, will be "sui generis!"

If you don't know, now you know!

I have an obsession with SHOES! Not just any shoes, however! Like anyone, I have my favorites - Gina (OMG - HAVE A CLOSET FULL!) Christian Louboutin (LOVE THEM), YSL ..etc etc!

Some might say my expensive taste in footware is inconsistent with the current economic climate! To those people, I say "fear not my cheeky little shoe junkies - there are ways to be a shoe recessionista without losing the fashionista." You may have heard of a new venture by Kim Kardashian called Shoe Dazzle (http://www.shoedazzle.com/) - after months of resisting, I finally signed up yesterday when a friend told me that the shoes she had received from Shoe Dazzle cost only $39 (no tax added and free shipping), but "are in the $150-$200 quality range and are quite comfy." My eyes lit up! (Thanks Melissa W! Now we're going to have to get a bigger apartment!! LOL).

My first pair of Shoe Dazzles is on its way - and the best thing is, if I don't like it I can return it (no shipping cost but beware of the $5.95 repackaging fee). If you don't want any shoes one month or don't like the selections provided by the stylists, you can opt to skip a month (just remember to skip the month before the 6th of each month).

Finally, if you just want to razzle in the dazzle and give it a try - you can always cancel your registration at anytime!
