Shoes 'n' Drama!

Those Kardashian gals are everywhere - keepin' up with 'em ain't that hard to do! From tabloid frenzy and a media circus to numerous reality shows, twitpics, blog posts etc etc. You can't get away! They cover many fields - from Superbowl to Basketball, and even the lawns of the White House! Current destination - the shores of South Beach, Miami! Whether or not you are a fan, one thing is for sure, they don some DeliciousShoes, courtesy of their stylist Monica Rose.

The K-Gals are fans of high heels (and pregnancy does not stop that!) - YSL platforms, Proenza Schouler, Christian Louboutin...all in all some expensive taste.

There can be parity - so keep on keepin' on with some great alternatives to the high end shoe labels, and put those extra hundreds you just saved into your savings account.

Round 1 - Khloe's Knock Out (or KhloeKO!!)

YSL strappy platform ($895) vs Joie's alternative ($325) or Aldo's Monin ($70)

Policing fashion in Proenza Schouler ($$$) vs Unplugged's Linda ($109)

Round 2 - Kourtney's Baby Mama Drama!

Three strap YSLs ($895) vs Seychelles' Gypsy ($95)

(super comfy & very cute)

All in a Miami day's work in YSL Tributes ($780++) vs Steve Madden's darlings ($69)

Round 3 - Kim's Superbowl win (or loss?)!!

Christian Louboutin booties (over $1,000) vs Aldo's Coant ($80)

Pierre Hardy platform shoes ($500++) vs Naughty Monkey's parade ($60)

There lies a parallel world of delicious shoes. Lookin' for an alternative to a celebrity style? Happy to help. Leave me a message on my twitter page!

Flirtatious Flats

Time to get your "pedi" on! The flirtatious flats for this spring/summer season demand perfectly groomed feet and a boho-chic look! Remember the ground rules for wearing flats?
Comfy & Cute...a girl can have it all
My personal favorites are the tribal flats (motif by Charles David), adorned with beads, flavored with color 'n' spice and seasoned just right for my Kenyan fashion [taste] buds!
Feelin' naughty? Accompany the sexy one piece with this Deco Style by Naughty Monkey or the Zack by Franco Sorto. These styles are seductively neutral for a Costa Rican getaway or a city weekend. Don't forget to put your "pedi-foot" forward.
For a look that will carry you through the spring, across the summer and into the fall, consider the caged gladiator. Two of my favorites are the "Tuscan" by Mia and "Hazel" by Sam Edelman - they instantly update the casual. An easy accompaniment to the boyfriend jean or a harem pant. The perfect finish for your "sui generis" African safari look. The "all-inclusiveness" of the caged gladiator is the precise reason they are great for travel (especially when there is a limit on the number of shoes you have to pack). Easily unzipped for security measures; flawlessly flirtatious for a date on the harbor; and elegantly detailed for the evening cocktails in Puerto Banus.

Flora, Acqua and Lux Solis - let's prepare for a new season!

Spring Forward

Spring is around the corner. The flowers will soon be blooming with fragrance and color. Its been a long snow filled winter here in NYC. I am definitely looking to spring forward into the next season and sport my Chanel 505 Particuliere - (Thanks Sonja! I love the color).
The trends this spring embody color, statement studs, caged looks, high heels and yes, the wedge (hedge the wedge again). Here are some spring beauties I picked out for my "Shoelinettes"

WORK IT

ROCK IT

SPORT IT!

INDULGE IT!

What's your delicious shoe obsession going to be this spring?

Until the next time.....xoxo
